This week we are again learning to spell WOW words and to use them in class in the correct context.

Children will be tested on them in class on Friday 24 June, and will be given points for using them correctly in written work and verbally in class.

Here are the WOW words for all groups to learn how to spell and how to use in context:

Spelling homework is again to read through previous SATs that you were given and learn the patterns of the spellings from two weeks ago. The spelling test is on Tuesday. Make sure you’re ready for then.

Children have been given a list of all the spellings they have had this term.

There will be a test on Friday 6 May. The test will be of a random selection of twenty of the words from the list.

This is to give the children the opportunity to have a SATs type spelling test when they don’t know which words are to be tested.

It’s half-term holidays next week, so there are no homework tasks or spellings next week.
